  1. John,

I have been a loyal fan of the LOL/Valley team all season, I think you already know that, but after watching “Ned’s Picks” I was really disturbed by his picks…after all he’s just a newspaper dude… And I don’t know how many games he actually attended of ours or any of our opponents…being stuck so close and virtually married to the SEC.

I’m not going to make any of my own predictions, but I was not happy to hear his picks overall for the SECT teams. In fact I was mad enough to start looking at our opponent, and wonder why a local reporter for “The Day” would say anything negative when 100% of his readers are locals who subscribe the The Day. I guess they don’t like to share any enthusiasm in local sports in SE CT. I hope none of his readers are parents that advertize with The Day after last nights segment. I don’t think he had much hope for ANY of the SE CT teams to win their respective divisions. Or am I wrong?

I think us Class S schools generally get the shaft by the majority of the media due to the school size, conference and interest based upon location. It takes miracles to make it on TV, and I appreciate you’re FNF interest in our team early on in the season after the big win over Cromwell.

Anyway, just some parental, “big-fan” feedback. Love your show, and please don’t stop covering local HS football as well as all other HS sports too.

And send more camera men to games…

  2. Looking at the match ups and after watching Cheshire take it to Southington in the Apple Cup, I think the CCC teams and in for a beating on Tuesday. Hall backs in, Conard is a one man show, Glastonbury has played a real team since October, Bristol Eastern is going to get crushed and Plainville is, well, Plainville. Southern CT football will once again show its dominance this playoff season. If you all want to stay competitive in the CCC then you better start practicing year round.
